This special issue focuses on regional, South-South migrations. It demonstrates the diversity of these migration flows and maps the gaps in the existing research landscape by focusing on neglected intersections related to skilled migration, sexuality, ageing and disability. The papers in this special issue challenge conventional definitions of the Global South, and as a collection, we provide a strong conceptual framing that offers direction for future studies of regional, South-South migration.
