Nano Convergence is calling for submissions to our Collection on Emerging quantum phenomena in van der Waals ma-terials. The collection aims to introduce and review recent advances in the various physical properties of van der Waals materials, focusing particularly on thermoelectric, structural, magnetic, and Kondo effects from the perspective of transport and electronic structures.

About the collection

Van der Waals (vdW) materials, such as graphene, boron nitride, and transition metal dichalcogenics (TMDs), con-sist of atomic planes bonded by weak vdW interactions. These materials host a wide range of electrical, optical, topological, structural, chemical, magnetic, and thermoe-lectric properties. The various quantum characteristics contained in vdW systems offer an ideal platform for fun-damental scientific research as well as material property engineering and device applications.

Topics of interest for this special issue include, but are not limited to the following:

• Multifunctional van der Waals (vdW) quantum materi-als
• Thermoelectric property engineering
• Magnetic properties of vdW materials
• Electronic band struc-ture engineering
