About the Collection

There is a great interest nowadays in the pediatric and adolescent musculoskeletal disorders among adult as well as pediatric rheumatologist and orthopedic pediatric surgeons as this vulnerable age group could have unique disease features with specific criteria that may coincide or vary with the adult population of the corresponding disease. Proper understanding of these disorders implies sufficient knowledge of the disease characteristic at younger age allowing safe transition of care at the adolescent age. This spectrum does not involve only arthralgia/arthritis, but also other musculoskeletal disorders like pediatric osteoporosis and autoimmune muscle disease.

We are very enthusiastic to invite rheumatologists all over the world who have special interest in the pediatric and adolescent rheumatic diseases, to share their experience, knowledge, to cover the various aspects of this disorder and the inter-challenging relationship between these two different age groups. We believe that the interacting knowledge would be enriched by the proposed topics, diverse experience that would enrich the field of rheumatological practice and fill the gap of knowledge between pediatric and adult population.

Here are some of the suggested topics that you may be interested to submit in, although you are free to submit in any related topic concerning musculoskeletal manifestations of this age group.
